SEED Malawi was founded in 2019 to help safeguard children and improve the quality of education in Thyolo District.

SEED Malawi met with local head teacher, school teachers and parents and agreed to take on the building of a classroom block at Namachila School. The project included the provision of building resources, equipment, storage facilities and a drainage system to avoid flooding during the rainy season.

2021: £1,000 to contribute to the construction of a school classroom block at Namachila to allow children to be taught inside rather than out in the open.

The village are delighted with the end result and there was a huge celebration when the building was complete. Thank you so much to FOMA – we would love to partner with you again in the future.

being taught in a classroom, they feel more empowered, valued and safe. 100% of
teachers said that the classroom build had improved the quality of teaching and
the quality of life of the children who attend the school. Attendance figures at the school have already increased since the classroom build.
