Mtende Homecraft Foundation is a non-for-profit, non-governmental
organization based in Livingstonia, Rumphi District. Mtende works to end poverty and suffering amongst the vulnerable communities by working with them to tackle illiteracy, hunger and disease. Mtende helps to implement projects related to food security, empowerment of women and girls, school health and sanitation, and quality education.

2021 : £1000 grant to purchase cooking equipment to support the Food Production and Catering Training Programme at the Mtende Homecraft Foundation training centre.

Mtende Community Vocational and Entrepreneurship Project is a community training centre for youth and women to acquire entrepreneurship skills and knowledge for job creation and sustainable business management facilitated by Mtende Homecraft Foundation in partnership with by Technical Education, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training Authority (TEVETA). The Community training centre provides youth and women with training in tailoring and fashion design, knitting, food production, carpentry and brick layering.
