Flood Relief Project: Mulanje
Following the devastating floods that hit Malawi in 2015 the catchment area of Mulanje Mission Hospital lost 3653 toilets.
Most toilets were made only with mud and grass and were unable to withstand the flood water.
Mulanje Mission Hospital raised enough money to build 3,126 new toilets. FOMA provided funds for 112 of these toilets. The toilets are made with cement, iron bars, re-inforced wires and iron sheeting to ensure they will be durable for the future.
