The Spring Event was held online and consisted of three very interesting talks by recent grant recipients. Firstly, Rebecca Weeks, Founder of SEED Malawi presented an update on the school block construction project in Thyolo. This was followed by two pre-recorded interviews carried out on Zoom with Lucky Katundu of Corps Africa talking about the building of the Siyombe Health Clinic in Chitipa and then Moses Mlenga providing an update on the waiting shelter construction at Atupele Hospital in Karonga.

All the speakers were able to share how the FOMA grant has benefitted the community, allowing FOMA members to see the impact their support has in Malawi.

The Summer Garden Party was held on 16 July 2022.

57 members gathered to enjoy a wonderful sunny afternoon with tea and cakes. It was a very successful event with many generous donations and purchases of FOMA cards, jam, ‘Marmalade for Malawi’ and items from the new range of chitenji aprons, shopping bags, facemasks and hand towels and chingwe macrame plant hangers.
